Traveling Knitter...

I never thought I would be happy not to be traveling. After being out of town 3 out of 4 weekends this month, I'm so glad to spend some time at home. I did get some quality knitting time in thought. I finished the baby shower gift (in the nick of time - right before the shower started!), which was Debbie Bliss's ABC Blanket from The Baby Knits Book. (I'm hoping for a picture of baby Gavin with the blanket after he arrives- hint, hint Gma Millen) I knitted it in DB Wool/Cotton, which was wonderful.

I also finished 2 Lucy Bags, one out of Galway and the other out of Silk Garden DK. I haven't quite perfected this bag yet, but maybe the 3rd time will be the charm.

I am finally finishing the sweater sample for the store. It's out of Classic Elite Star. I didn't like working with it at first. The lycra in it is so stretchy, but once I stop paying attention to that, it went much more smoothly. It has definitely grown on me and I would knit with it again. It seemed to go really fast after I knitted about 8-9". The pattern is Yarn Cocktails "Hurricane" and is pretty easy.

Once I finish this sweater (Hopefully tomorrow), I'm going to finish up my mom's socks. I'm knitting the foot, so it shouldn't be too much longer. I just bought a new sock yarn today - Can't wait to get started on those soon! I always love starting a new pair of socks!! After that, I'm not sure what I'll be working on...Maybe the cute pink skirt in the new Vouge Knitting...
