Another Step Closer

I had my LH Surge on Saturday. Yippy! I will go on Wednesday to get blood test, injections class and a trial transfer. I'll received my meds on Thurs. and start them this weekend.

I haven't been knitting too much...or should I say not as much as I normally do. I am close to finishing my the Color on Color Scarf. I finished Section 19 and am attaching in now.

CUBS WINS, CUBS WINS!!!

Dad and I were lucky enough to see the Cubs Wins on Thursday. We had a great time and our seats were excellent!

I feel like I did a Chicagoland tour. I went to Northbrook on Wed. night to see my sister-in-law and her family. Her boys are getting so big. I wish we could see them more often. We did a lot of catching up, wonderful and long overdue. We headed downtown Thurs. morning, where I met up with Dad and we were off to the cubby Bear for a pre-game celebration. It was a perfect day for a baseball game. It rained all morning, then an hour before the game it stopped, and stayed overcast for the rest of the day. Friday morning we were off to Naperville to see an Aunt and Uncle. This was one of those trips that makes me really miss my family!

Oh the stories I could write about my air travels! I called ahead to make sure everything was running on time and of course my flight was delayed - 2 hrs, which grew to 3 hrs, then 4. We decided we would go to dinner then to the airport (let Friday Chicago rush hour traffic die down), until I called to see when the latest I could check in for the delayed flight...the agent advised I should be there for my original flight time (which was only an hour from the time I called) as the 4 hour delay was only approximate and could be moved up at any time. So, my Uncle, Dad and I jumped in the car and were off to the airport and arrived 2 hours later. Traffic was bumper to bumper. Luckily I had no problems checking in and only had to wait 2 hours at the airport. I was just thankful the delays were on the tail end of my trip. Thank goodness for knitting, it makes delays a little more tolerable. I finished 1 sock while in Chicago and started the other waiting to fly out.

Excitement leads to more waiting...

My appointment today went well. I am ready to start IVF...once I complete a form for "Shared Risk" and wait to be approved and have a HSG next week. I have such mixed feelings. I am so excited that everything gave me a clear go ahead, especailly because I was nervous about having cysts that would delay the process. But, I am also anxious to get started. I didn't think it would take this long to get going. "Patience" My Aunt told me today that I have this, which I do, but it is difficult to find it when it comes to the waiting.

Meanwhile, I am having a great time knitting this...

Day 3

Tomorrow is "Day 3", the day I've been waiting for. I should have a time frame of this cycle after tomorrows appointment. I keep thinking I shouldn't get too excited, but it's an exciting thing! "Balance" is going to be my new word of the year!

I've been trying to keep myself busy while waiting. Knitting Guild is consuming time right now as we plan a Knit-In and a Fall Workshop. My UFO's got a little side tracked...oh how easy that is to do. I did finish a pair of socks that had been sitting around for a year, and the hood is now attached to the Greeting from Knit Cafe Cardigan (which is on display at Charlotte Yarn). The sleeves turned out not to be as bad as I thought. It's amazing how projects seem easier when you take a break from them. I am trying to finish the Noro Ripsa sweater from last November :( I now have the front and back done and decided to do the sleeves from the shoulder down. I have a good start on a 3/4 length sleeve, but don't think that would suit this sweater at all! So, I'll keep knitting away, in between the NEW project I started. I just couldn't help myself. A student/friend of mine just finished the Lily Chin Reversible Cable Afghan and it was gorgous...I had to start on for myself. I wanted to use the yarn it called for and another LYS had it at 40% off. I ask you...How could I pass that up?

My camera battery is dead and I just found the charger, so I don't have any pictures to post. Maybe this weekend. Wednesday I leave for Chicago. I'm so excited to go see my favorite Cubbies play. Dad and I are going with tickets that Gizmo Dog gave him. Dad took care of the dogs while we were in Italy and Gizmo was not on his best behavior for his grandpa. (Long, not so pleasent story involving cleaning carpet and trips to the Vet!) Dad definately deserves these tickets and more! I also will get to see my sister-in-law and nephews! Don't know that I'll get any yarn shop stops in on this trip, but I'll let you know when I return.
