Utter Disbelief!

I started working on the baptism gown, which has turned into a baptism shawl. This way I don't have to worry about fit and Allie can use it when she gets older. I got this idea from a suggestion on another blog. Sorry, I have no idea which blog this was. I'll try to find it and post later. I'm in a bit of a time crunch to get it done, seeing the baptism is on Sept. 10th. So what do I do, follow a simple pattern to make things go faster, noooooooo, I decided to make up my own pattern using the guidelines from Barbara George's Snowdrop Shawl in Knitter's Shawls and Scarves. One word...CRAAAZY! I just keep thinking how special it will be for my little goddaughter!!! And isn't that what's important? What is the worth of doing something if it means nothing?

It was a big week! My amazing Aunt and Uncle drove my Grandma and Grandpa down on Sunday. (Well really they left IL on Saturday and made a stop in TN to visit an uncle). DH cooked for us on Sunday and we took Gma out for her birthday on Monday. Monday was the only full day they spent, but it's not always quanity that matters. We had a great time. Took them on a tour of the city, to lunch, then Gma and Aunt went to the mall, while my most excellent uncle put up new shutters on the house. As if he hadn't done enough driving 4 days to and from IL to bring G & G here. They left on Tues. morning, which made Tues. a pretty lonely day. Wed brought more excitement than should be possible. I had my new TV hung. This seemly easy task turned out to be difficult for the installers. Sorry guys! Apparently, my house has no insulation between the walls and the cement siding. Don't believe me, Dad didn't think it was possible either, so I took a pictures to prove it! I feel like I should be on an episode of "This Old House", with issues like this.

Recaping the week has made me a little sleepy, can't imagine why??? Not to mention today has been another exicting day. I had a Pampered Chef Party. We had a fun time, which made me realize how many wonderful people I have met living in Charlotte. It definately makes being away from family much easier to know I have such good friends here (and know family will come to visit!)

Well you made my day!! I talked to you and then read the blog site. I love the picture of the whole in the wall. It is amazing. I am beginning to get my IPOD figured out. It has taken me awhile.

Will keep in touch.
Love you
Aunt Linda
